An Oncology Nurse Practitioner is a nurse who completes three additional years of training to become an Advanced Practice Nurse. Nurse Practitioners:

Are expert healthcare providers
* Care for patients during health and illness
* Have a master's degree in nursing
* Have advanced education and clinical training in oncology
* Practice under state regulations and laws

As a patient at Suburban Hematology Oncology Associates, PC you will see the nurse practitioner for routine chemotherapy appointments as well as for acute same day visits. She will assess your condition and work with your physician to complete your plan of care.

 


Theresa Catlin,
RN, MSN, CNP


Theresa
earned her nursing degree from the Deaconess College of Nursing. She attended Northern Illinois University and completed her Nurse Practitioner program in 2003. She was certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2004. Prior to her nurse practitioner training, Theresa worked in a community oncology practice for two years.

Theresa is married. Her hobbies include running, hiking and roller blading.


Renee Wilson,
RN, MSN, CNP


Renee
completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Kennesaw State University. She then began work at Emory University Hospital, on a medical floor and in the emergency department. While at Emory, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Renee is single and enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with friends and family. She has a Maltese mix named Cassie.
